More About the Project
New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) is partnering with iwi mana whenua (Taranaki Whānui ki te Upoko o te Ika and Ngāti Toa Rangatira ) and local councils (Wellington City and Hutt City, Greater Wellington Regional councils) to provide a new walking and cycling route between Wellington and Lower Hutt that will improve transport resilience along State Highway 2 and the Hutt Valley rail line.
